a coupla more things to consider:
1. i need to stop thinking of myself as society expects me to think of myself - an iten on a shelf in a store waiting for some guy to choose me! choose me!
enough already. i've got to start thinking and acting like the shopper, not the shopee. who says I can't have MY pick? well, i'm not exactly sure who says that, some abstract entity i like to call "society," but whoever it is, SHUT UP ALREADY. i've got a platinum visa and i'm ready to sample.
2. i've got to start choosing my men like i choose my friends. i definitely don't expect my friends to meet the same standards i set for my partners. all i expect them to be is... well, a good friend.
